Story of a Wounded Child
This Musical Postcard comes from young composer Luis Pichardo from Caracas, Venezuela. He sent it directly to the New York Philharmonic where it was performed on Saturday 23 May in the Avery Fisher Hall.
Luis was inspired by the Spanish Revolution in the 1930's during which children suffered a lot. But he also says it is a universal piece. The composition he created is called
Story of a Wounded Child.
