We received a special Musical Postcard from Aghyad Darwish who played a very sad composition on his violin. He fled from Homs, Syria and found through a refugee camp in Katwijk, The Netherlands a permanent residency in the city of Leiden. His Musical Postcard was picked up by students from the Geert Groote College in Amsterdam. Several students made a composition for him that were even brought to him personally on April 15 by The Stolz Quartet and the students from school. It was an empowering and moving experience for all parties involved. Later that day The Stolz Quartet performed these answering compositions in the Peace Church in Amsterdam. Have a look at these two responses to Aghyad.
