Odai is 16 years old and lived in the Al Yarmook camp in Syria, before fleeing the war to Germany. He arrived in the town of Finsterwalde, in the region of Brandenburg and lives there since September 2015. He says he is happy in Germany, but he would be really happy if he could be with his family back in Syria. Rap is for him a way to make music and it enables him to tell people his message and inform them about the things he went through.
The two highly talented sisters Rosanne and Julia Philippens presented Odai's voice to an audience on January 9 during their concert 'Meeting Point' and responded to his cry for peace with an intense composition for piano and two violins. They end their response with the Syrian anthem.
